Ok, I decided I'd better get my weekly newsletter taken care of since I'm already in Wichita with Sammy and Jack. We'll be spending the entire holiday here so bear with me if the newsletters are a bit patchy.
I hope that your holiday season is filled with what's important: family and friends, not simply all "the stuff." This year more than ever I find myself looking at the bigger picture. We may not have much extra money right now, but we do have our health, a roof over our heads, a dependable car, amazing friends and family, beautiful weather and a military that protects our freedom! We are truly blessed to live in the USA and enjoy so many privileges. I shall never take that for granted.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!
Holly Hunter Owner AZ Active Kids
Lots of information posted on our Facebook Page:
You've probably noticed the Facebook Block on the AZ Active Kids website. I've found it quite useful having this page as it allows me to share information throughout the week without having to send out a newsletter (and fill up your email box).
Be sure to "become a fan" of AZ Active Kids so we'll show up on your posts. I post all kinds of things including money saving ideas, freebies, recipes, local family friendly activities, products for kids, etc.
Great Kids Activity Video Website:
I found out about a wonderful website through www.familyzip.com that offers tons of video's demonstrating various craft activities to do with your kids. The choices are endless and they even rank them beginner, intermediate or expert. www.activitytv.com/default.aspx
Kids can explore the magic of the season at Bass Pro Shops, which hosts free photo opportunities with Santa, holiday crafts each weekend, model train displays, the remote-control car track, and all kinds of games and activities. Complete information and schedules are available online.
Holiday Storytime and Activities at Desert Ridge Marketplace's District Stage:
A children's storybook character is on hand as kids enjoy hot chocolate and Paradise Bakery cookies while listening to readings of holiday classics at the District Stage. Special guests and activities are presented by PBS.
